Hosting and access records

This site is hosted by Vercel. According to Vercel's public documentation, Vercel keeps records when it handles requests to the site, such as the page requested, the time of the request, browser information and IP addresses. The runtime logs the operator can view in the Vercel dashboard are retained for 30 days, and other records and backups that Vercel keeps are covered by Vercel's privacy policy.

Email

If you write to jin@kyus.ai, the operator receives your email address, the name shown with it and your message, and uses them only to reply to and handle your inquiry. Mail is stored in the Hostinger mailbox, and the operator retrieves and reads it in Gmail (Google). A copy stays in the Hostinger mailbox, and replies are sent from Gmail through Hostinger's mail server.

Inquiry emails: purpose and retention

Inquiry emails (your email address, display name and message) and the operator's replies are kept so the operator can answer and continue the conversation. They are deleted from the Hostinger mailbox and Gmail before one year has passed since the last message in an inquiry. This period is an operating rule, not a legal requirement. Emails that must be kept by law or are needed for a dispute or legal process already under way are kept separately, only as needed, and deleted when that reason ends.

Deletion requests

If you ask the operator to delete your emails, the request is handled without waiting for the retention period to end. The operator checks that the request comes from the address that sent the emails; if it comes from a different address, the operator first sends a confirmation email to the original address and proceeds once it replies. The emails are then deleted from the Hostinger mailbox and Gmail, and the operator lets you know by email. Emails that must be kept by law or for a dispute or legal process already under way are kept with an explanation and deleted when that reason ends.

Transfer of personal information outside Korea

This site and its mail run on services provided by companies outside Korea, so personal information is processed and stored outside Korea. The details are as follows.

Visiting the site leaves request records with Vercel, and inquiries are received only by email, so the site cannot be used and inquiries cannot be sent without these transfers. If you do not want them, you can choose not to visit the site or send email. You can ask for emails you have already sent to be deleted as described under Deletion requests.

How emails are destroyed

Inquiry emails are deleted from the Hostinger mailbox and Gmail, and the trash is emptied, before their retention period ends or when you ask for deletion. Emptying the trash does not remove copies from the service providers' backups at once; those backups follow each provider's policy. No personal information is kept on paper.

Your privacy rights

You can ask the operator to show, correct or delete the personal information held about you, or to stop using it. Write to jin@kyus.ai and the operator will reply by email.

Security

Pages are served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The hosting account and the mailbox are protected by sign-in credentials.
